For many of us, the kitchen is the focal point of a house. It is the room in which we greet friends and family with a glass of wine, the room where our kids sometimes sit down to do their homework while you prepare supper and tomorrow's lunches... No mater your usage of the kitchen I am sure you spend more time there then you wish to admit. It is therefore very important to pay special attention to the lighting of your kitchen as this is what will make accomplishing your tasks in the kitchen easier (or harder) and will give the room the ambiance you want it to have.
