Adjustable table lamp providing diffused lighting. Organic LED (OLED) technology is currently a unique solution to building large light-emitting surface sources as opposed to inorganic LED that are limited to high power but small surfaces components. OLED light sources have the appearance of a thin foil of light laminated between two high purity glass sheets. OLEDs can be directly recycled in existing glass waste chain which classifies OLED among the most environmental friendly light sources.
LIGHT PHOTON is equipped with OLED using the latest development in nanotechnology and functional chemistry and is made of a complex stack of thin molecular layers of organic materials that produces white light. The full diode, including electrodes is 200nm thick, and constructed in extra pure and clean environment.
To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the company, LIGHT PHOTON was put in production from September 28, 2012 (FLOS was founded in September 28, 1962) for a limited edition of 500 pieces. Each piece is uniquely numbered.
